Setting Up Ubuntu 20.04 Server on a Dell i5 system, then installing LibreTime to learn how the Server we pay for works and runs. As it is a Friend of mine and I run a Internet Radio Station. Through LIVE365, and the server we use runs Liquid Soap. So I figured that If I can set one up, I can figure out what tweaks I can do to to make the station sound better, and lose so of the current delay time we have. Which is about 1m 30sec. As I’m not really new to Linux, just having issues with how software is named within Linux. I’m a Windows User, and I use SAM Broadcaster to do my shows. I have a year to sort out a Linux distro that I can run SAM Broadcaster in Wine or Bottles. I got the Windows Extended Support. So I’m installing this on older systems that have 4 cores and can run 16 and up in RAM. Looking for pointers… Otherwise I’m going to follow the instructions for Ubuntu 20.04 and LibreTime and make documentation, on what happens. Don
Ok, I have followed the instructions for LibreTime on both Ubuntu Server and Deban Server. I can get neither to work. I have noticed that they’re many Videos about installing LibreTime. But they are all using VMware. And they get it to work.. And walk you through the rest of the installation. Looks simple, but folks like me that don’t have those skills yet. Get frustrated. I’m wondering why LibreTime can’t run on Newer Distos of Ubuntu/Deban Server??? Or should I just find Audio Linux Software automation software? Cause that is the only thing that Windows has on Linux, the ease of installation of software. Windows Fails with all the bloatware, and lack of privacy.
