Debian 11
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Are longer in the pi imager menu and finding it hard to find image for raspberry pi. TWIT you tube video two years talking libretime on Linux how good is
Reading all the post on the forum it seem like the developers of libretime really don’t care about the project. If I was a developer , programmer , I would help.
So I have to Waite for the developers to bring libretime up to date using a current Operating Systems. Wish their were alternative Operating Systems librtime could be in stalled on.
If I start using another radio automation system why learn libretime,

I plan on Installing a Linux Server flavor Ubuntu/Debian and then install LibreTime. And just see what happens. It’s Open Source. So if it doesn’t work you can just fall back on the older release. Debian is on version 13, Ubuntu is running 25.04 but that maybe Desktop only. I think the main focus of LibreTime is just fixing errors and bugs. I’m just getting back into Linux from when I had to use it for work to talk to our Unix Box at work for command line. There was no GUI back then.
Hello! We are still using Ubuntu version 18.04 with long-term support. And we successfully installed Libretime 4.4.0 Docker. Believe it or not, the station is more stable than on the host. Full instructions are available on the help website ( Install using docker | LibreTime /). Use docker and use any version of Ubuntu!

I know that Centova Cast is what we are renting our station server time on.. It’s running CentOS I was looking to see what they are running, cause if I can do the same thing on my Server running LibreTime then I’m going to play around with it and see what the limits are best way to back up the system,
Well after installing Ubuntu 24.04 Server on it’s own box. It seems that error: could not determine supported distribution ‘ubuntu-24.04’
Please check the documentation to find the supported distributions.
Support for installing LibreTime on Buster has dropped since 3.1.0.
Support for installing LibreTime on Bionic has dropped since 3.1.0.
Support for installing LibreTime on Xenial has dropped since 3.0.0-alpha.10.
Support for installing LibreTime on Stretch has dropped since 3.0.0-alpha.10.
Support for installing LibreTime on Jessie has dropped since 3.0.0-alpha.8.
So I’m a little confused. If Libretime just can’t be bothered with their Program to upgrade it to work on new Server Distros? I’ve downloaded and installed 20.04 server, 22.04, 24.04 and got everything that is required to run Libretime only to get that error. 20.04 I couldn’t get ssh to work…But since I got it to work on 24.04.. I’m going to install 20.04 server again, and follow the steps I had to before.. and see what happens.
Well I think I’m done with this Project. Well mostly, there is zero interest in it. Ubuntu/Debian have upgraded to 24.04 and 13. But Libretime is still back in the 20.04 release. Libretime, isn’t a easy install. I’m stuck at “To Configure LibreTime, you need to edit the /etc/libretime/config.yml.” And it stops doesn’t say how or what to use to configure it. And that is on all the webpages I looked for some instructions. Course everything in HERE is over 9 or 10 years in posting….
sugonjakas, I myself was just wanting to learn how to setup a server and run libretime. As part of it is used in Centova Cast which is the Liquid Soap. The only reason CentOS is gone, is because Red Hat bought the rights to it. When I started learning Linux was in the 90’s. RedHat was still a Free OS/ServerOS. And the Home PC wasn’t really a Home thing yet. Internet Radio started to be a thing in the very late 90’s, with the BBC and Terry Wogan show, I used to listen to on 56K modem. My sole interest in this is to Learn…
