Top Tips for Using LibreTime to Automate Show Scheduling

As I build up our community radio station, I’m looking into how to use LibreTime to schedule our shows automatically. I’ve read the essential documentation and put up a couple test shows, but in order to make sure everything goes as planned, I’m seeking for suggestions on the best ways to automate our schedule.

I’m particularly curious about the following:

Setting Up Repeating Programs: Every week at the same time, we have a few daily and weekly shows. How should they be configured in LibreTime to maximise efficiency? Do you think there are any possible problems I should watch out for while handling recurrent events? :thinking:

Managing Time Zone Shifts: Our station will run in several different time zones. Regarding Daylight Saving Time adjustments and other time zone-related concerns, how does LibreTime manage them? Is there a suggested way to handle things such that there are no misunderstandings or disruptions? :thinking:

Show Automation Fail-Safes: What are the best ways to make sure that a fallback option (such as a default playlist) automatically launches if a show fails to play (because of file corruption, server problems, etc.)? :thinking: I’m curious to know how other people have set up their systems to deal with similar situations.

Integration with External Calendars: Is there anyone with knowledge on how to integrate LibreTime with third-party calendar programs such as iCal or Google Calendar? :thinking: wonder if this integration adds more complexity or if it can assist make the ccsp scheduling process go more smoothly.
