There’s been a security update to ffmpeg on Ubuntu 20.04 that requires Ubuntu Pro support, and our cloud isn’t paying for that support level by default. Does LibreTime rely on ffmpeg at all if I haven’t taken any overt action to otherwise use ffmpeg? Wondering if it is safe to delete the ffmpeg package.
I removed the ffmpeg package. Doesn’t seem to have affected LibreTime.
It DOES affect LibreTime, if someone tries to upload mp3 the upload fails. Ugh.
For legal reasons my company won’t let me download a new ffmpeg and it seems all uploads regardless of format go through ffmpeg. If we were to limit uploads to one format, can the call to ffmpeg be disabled?
