On 25 November 2020 at 19:00 UTC there will be a virtual meetup around the current state of LibreTime, what people are working on and what are goals are going forward. We would like to make this a monthly or bi-monthly (every 2 months) thing. The meeting will be streamed to YouTube and a recording will be kept there.
The timing matches perfectly with my “getting back into the game” plans
I can prepare some slides titled “scratching an itch; why we contribute” if having some semi-formal presentations as part of the meetup would be of interest. It would be a rehash of a presentation I did regarding the volunteer based IT dept. at my station at a swiss oss conference last year. I’m not sure where I would add it to the agenda though.
I’m looking forward to meeting y’all in person for the first time!
Everyone sounded fine to me, sad I totally spaced joining on time but super glad I was reminded by the live stream so I could jump in. It was great to be able to connect with everyone like that and I look forward to the next one.
Almost 400 folks watched - so that’s a pretty good start!
Would be great if there was some sort of recap, agenda for the next one, and how to get involved easily accessible for viewers and potential contributors.

I’ve added the fact that the agenda has some minutes to the description, as well as links to the repo, mattermost and discourse. The next meeting’s agenda will use the same pad as the previous, so I’ve added a skeleton there.
