I have been involved with technical support and troubleshooting since about 1986. I used to run the vendor’s support channel for SCO UNIX and Xenix back is the day, and I have been using Linux based systems since the early days. Now I do a bit of domain hosting and website development. I have some understanding of how Apache works and I am reasonably competent in various scripting languages as well as C. These days I seem to spend a lot of time dealing with brute force crackers and other miscreants, in order to provide my clients a stable email service. I became interested in streaming audio recently when one of my clients said he wants his own web “radio station”.
