# Smart block track cut off

How can I avoid track cut off between slots? As smartblocks will pick tracks of various length, the last track will always be truncated, the idea of putting an instrumental as the last track could help.

Wondering what others do.

There are a few approaches. One form of smart block will not over schedule and you can use short filler tracks that can go in.

Or instrumental.

Our station uses bird song for the last second gaps.
