# Problem with upgrade 4.4.0 -\> 4.5.0

I have unsuccessfully tried to upgrade my installation from 4.40 to 4.5.0.

I have carefuly followed the upgrade process described in the documentation : download the new tar.gz - run the install script and the migrate script before restarting libretime.target

Everything is OK except that the icecast server has no stream running.

The syslog file is full of messages saying :

Jul 30 17:23:00 libretime libretime-playout[3256]: 2025-07-30 17:23:00,273 | WARNING | urllib3.connectionpool:urlopen:870 - Retrying (Retry(total=0, connect=None, read=None, redirect=None, status=None)) after connection broken by ‘NewConnectionError(’\<urllib3.connection.HTTPConnection object at 0x7fb1dd18bb50\>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 111] Connection refused’)': /api/version?format=json

Could someone help me understand what happens and suggest how to fix this ?

I hope you figured it out but let us know if you didn’t. did you check libretime-api status?

I didn’t check libretime-api status.

It’s been a long time, and I don’t really remember what other things I did. I just remember that I finally made a new installation.
